Lido Pimienta is one of those artists that moves in all sorts of different artist circles. So really – there is no one better to put together a series that unites arts movements from across mediums and land masses. “Bridges” is built on that very concept – I mean – do I really need to explain why it’s called ‘Bridges”??

If you’re cool you were at the last “Bridges” at Lula Lounge. Lido and Conector put on a mesmerizing show and it was one of those nights that just blended and flowed on some many different energies – it reminded most people of the 60s. I’m being ironic, of course, but seriously it was like how movies makes me imagine the 60s. Watch the video from the young homies THE EDISONS.

THIS THURSDAY BRIDGES #002 follows in those sames footsteps. THIS TIME Lido made a few phone calls and put together one of the coolest Freaky Latino lineups this city has seen in a long time!

I remember finding this DJs myspace page ages ago and being like ¡whoa! true story bro. That was long before anything mattered and now ISA GT matters for so many reasons it really blows ones mindsss. Born in Medellin – currently holding down Londombia, UK. She carved a big chunk of London’s club scene as a member of the all-femme GIRLCORE DJ crew. She quickly found her name on the lips of folks like Toy Selectah, Joao Brasil, Crookers and many others. Aside from being a dope DJ/Producer, Isa runs her own label called ETORO RECORDS and holds down a regular residency on Pulse Radio.

BOOGAT

Homeboy has a new album out and it’s all about finding your identity as Latinos in North America – more on that to come – but seriously?! Can you say soundtrack to the current generational/cultural shift happening across the Americas? Boogat is a homey so it’s hard not to beam proudly about dudes work and readers of this blog should know plenty about Boogat and his music. For those that don’t, Montreal Hip-Hop dude finds his voice in Español rap and starts to blaze a new sonic trail that is as much about Pan Americanismo as it is about straight up dope Hip-Hop.

Spoiler alert: Lido and Boogat (should) will perform this song.
